Water concern
Hello there,
I was hesitating about writing this email because I’m not sure if there’s something that can be done towards the situation I’m about to explain, but it’s worth giving it a shot, since I’m concern about the planet climate changes and how the bad use of resources affects it.
A couple of weeks ago, I went with a friend to a stripclub called Penthouse in Auckland city, in which one of the services they offer is a SPA.
I’m sure whoever is reading this is familiar with a Spa service, most hotels offer it and even massage places, but I want to describe this one in particular, it really got my attention. Basically, in this place there are about 14 rooms at the top of the building, in which half of them have bathtubs and the other half just showers, where you can spend an enjoyable time with a lady for an hour.
The problem is that if the average bath uses about 50 gallons of water, and a 10 minute shower with a low-flow showerhead about 25 gallons, adding that the club is opened 7 days a week all year-round from 7 pm till late, most days after 3 am. That means 8-10 hours of gallons of water waste each day! And just for an insignificant business, it’s almost unreal and devastating to know this information. I have nothing against the sex business, but I’m sure the owner can come up with a different idea that doesn’t cost the Earth’s resources.
I really hope that whoever is reading this can reflect about this situation, cause even if the owner of this business pays for a water supply at the end of the day it’s just money! It’s destroying the Earth! That water doesn’t belong to us humans, we have to see beyond our selfishness, it belongs to each inhabitant of this planet, every living being depends on this important resource.
With this said, I expect that something can be done.
